I got so much good help in here with my Space Shuttle pinball machine
that I thought I'd throw this out there, even though it's not pinball
related.

This is a 1987 Taito "Operation Wolf". It died recently and I checked
out the power supply, 120V in OK, but no 12V or 5V out. The fuse is
good. I reckon it's pretty hard to find an OEM power supply. Do you
think I could just use an old 200W computer power supply and hook up
the proper wires? The original PS was only rated at 40W and didn't have
a fan or anything.

Sorry for the OT question but this seemed like a pretty active and smart
group and I thought I might get a good answer in here. Thanks.

If you can't rebuild the old one, a new one should work. Be sure you have
any and all voltages you need, and plus or minus types. LTG :)

It uses a common, cheapie switching power supply that
you can find in any number of places.

Check rec.games.video.arcade.collecting for good sources. ;)
