I'm working on a Williams Big Daddy. Single player 3 digit game with a light for 1000. There are rollovers that score 50 when lit and 5 when off. Both over score. The 50 may score 50 or 60, rarely 70. The 5 scores anything between 5 and 11. I replaced the central camshaft. There is a ratchet on it that prevents the wheel turning backward. It was worn down almost smooth. The camshaft replacement did not fix the problem.
I used a camera to record a film clip of the mechanism with the score reel not attached and everything is perfect. When the tin score reel is mounted, the momentum of the reel causes the jump in scores. I also did a movie of the 1 point relay. It is only firing 5 times. The solenoid in the score reel is only firing 5 times.
This is the early version of the score reels with the big reel.
Any suggestions? Something should be slowing down the metal reel.
Thanks
