Hi all,

Having problems with Addams Family Gold on a standard Addams,

My Default ROM's were 27c2001 for the Game (U6) and 27c4001 for the
Sound (U18).

I am wanting to upgrade to the Gold version and I erased both chips and
re-burnt the Game (U6) on the 27c2001 and the Sound (U15 & U18) to 2 x
27c4001 Chips.

I am getting a Sound Board error now and quite a bit of static through
the speakers at boot, the game does boot up though so I guess the Game (U6)
27c2001 chip is working fine, I have a feeling the Sound Chips I have used
(27c4001 x 2) are the wrong size or the wrong chips.

So does anyone know if there are certain size ROM Chips that needs to be
used on the Sound board when using the Gold version?

Thanks for the help.

Regards,

Kevin

You need a 4 meg chip for the CPU ROM (U6), a 2 meg chip for U15 on the
sound board, and a 4 meg chip for U18.

Look at the binaries when doing something like this, 512KB = 4 meg, 256KB =
2 meg
