I just got a Bally Circus and am starting to work on it. I'm not familiar with how the game plays and have a quick question on game play. Looks like there are balloons that light up on the back glass but I can't get them to work or know what they are indicators off. Can anybody give me some clue on their function?
Thanks.

Assuming you mean 1973's Bally Circus, the row of light-up balloons
across the top of the backglass (which look like "00", "10", "20", etc.
from the rear) are the match numbers. They would be under the control of
the Match Unit (also in the backbox), and one of them will be lit at the
end of each game if matching for a free game is turned on. -JW

Thanks for the info. One follow up, how does the matching work? What does the balloon number need to match too and what is supposed to happen if they match?

There is a "Game Operation Instructions" for the 2-player version of the
game (Big Show) on IPDB.
