Does anyone know whether The Pinball Lizard in Tucson, Arizona is still
around?

If so, any idea how to contact Joel Cook and Vickie Huisenga? I've tried
the telephone number (520) 323-7496, but with no success, and haven't found
a clear email address for them either.

Thanks,
Bob Carroll

Bob,

They left Tucson several years ago.

I don't know where they are today. I think Joel got upset abou
something and quit the pinball scene

Thanks, Ken. I've read some of their old posts, and they provided a lot of
good information. I still hope someone might be able to provide a current
email address or phone number.

Something about someone taking some of their information and putting it
on a free online guide.

I bought their guides - a lot of it was reprinted gottlieb materials.
Nice to have in a central location, but nothing I couldn't have gotten
from Steve Young, either.

Joel lives about 3 blocks from my house unless he's moved recently.
Phone is (503) 681-7965. I talked to him a few years ago about doing
some basic board repairs (needed BR2 replaced and didn't want to wait
on parts). He lectured me about doing my own repairs since I don't
have proper training and wouldn't do the repair unless he could
rebuild the entire board (for $300). Definately has a chip on his
shoulder in my opinion, but perhaps YMMV.

Can't say I blame him. His guides copied and put on line. Boards he
manufacured copied and sold.

He may have loved pinball, but it chewed him up and spat him out.

Joel was always good to me. What ever he is up to I wish him the best. LTG

Glad someone was done right by Joel Cook I found him to be a conman In 1993 I shipped him 400 Bally and Stern displays with a understanding any he could fix I got half back he kept the other half, cost me $600 to ship the displays never saw a single one again. But according to Joel I was the Ass hole. You best believe I told everyone in the Pinball world that would listen how Joel did me. Chip on his shoulder some of you commited, Joel was a dick straight up. 24 years later seeing his name still pisses me off. Dick Head...

Anyone know what the going price is for Joel's tech guides? The Lis'z tech reprints, the Pinball Lizard.
I'd appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks,
John

Last thing I remember from his website is that they moved to Oregon.

The last contact I had with Joel was many years ago
and he was in Oregon at the time.
