I have a centigrade 37 pinball machine, it will light up but will not go into start up sequence. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try putting a quarter in it?

Is the score motor stuck between stops? With the playfield up and the game powered up (be very careful here, there is 110 volts in there) see if you can gently nudge the score motor counterclockwise, to see if it moves on its own.

Of course if this makes a difference you then have the question of why the motor stopped midstream...

Lights up means the transformer is working and the light fuse is conducting.

Does anything happen when you press the start button? If nothing
happens, does anything happen when you feed it a coin?

Trying to find out if there is any life at all in the game - does the
timing motor turn when either above tests are done?

Check fuses of course, always the first suspect. Only replace with the
factory value, no nails please!

If the Solenoid fuse blows then first look for playfield coils that are
cooked looking or seized, starting with the flippers, then check the
head for cooked coils and finally the bottom cabinet relays and step up
coils.
