Can you Reset the Total Games Played on a Stern Game?

It seems like I am seeing more and more posts and ads for people
selling Stern games with very, very low number of plays. Recently, I
saw a game advertised for sale with 18 total plays. Who pays $4300
for a machine, plays it 18 times, and then tries to sell it for
$2500? That would be $100 per game! That left me wondering....can
you reset the total number of games played? I'm not a Stern fan, but
I know it happens automatically when you remove the batteries from an
early SS Bally machine.

There are no games that you cannot reset the total # of plays for.

Even old EMs with a meter...... change the meter!

The smartass in me says that game times are so long on modern Stern
games that you could play a game that lasts a long time reducing the #
of plays ;)

Every time you update the code, the total plays goes to "0", just like
replacing the game ROMS,

The only way this can't be changed is if the new SAM system uses a
built in flash system that can't be reset.

I doubt it, however.
