Just curious what a Williams ten strike normally sells for when
restored? Or even in project state? I'd die to have one someday. Never
played one personally but it looks like the best game ever made IMO
haha :) Comments??

Ten Strike is one of the great EM arcades, I paid $5k for mine from
Lloyd Thoburn a few years back. It was a complete original in semi-
working condition. I did a full restoration on mine with the original
lacquer automotive paints etc. Paints alone cost me around $500. Add
in the new repo back glass , new repo plastic hood etc.and you have
another $1,500 in parts. I had around 288 hours invested into the
restoration. Who knows what it could fetch if put up for sale. Here
are a couple video's of mine.

Get yourself TOP6. it goes through the
restoration of a 5 foot (7 foot shown too)
Ten Pins and Ten Strike. AND the restoration
of a Sega Pro Bowler (sega's version of the
game.) All the in's and out's are shown.

I have one that I want to sell, but it I can't seem to zero in on a
value. None of these seem to have changed hands recently...the market
is very "thin". I have asked around about value, here and in other
places, and am getting a huge range...5000-12000. I have what i
believe are viable offers from reputable guys in the middle. Of
course, the 12k source isn't a buyer, and the 5k guy would take five
at that price if I had them. I've pretty much decided to do ebay with
it, once i get off my ass, so that should give the best idea of what
these are worth today.

my .02!

An unrestored Ten Strike was listed here on RGP in January for
$3000. Too late, it's sold.

That seems about right. There was a window of opportunity some
years ago when you could get a restoration candidate for $1000-$1500,
and nice ones went for $3000. They seem to have peaked at about $7-8K
a couple years ago, and now nice ones are in the $6K range. I missed
that "window" but I got a deal on a HUS Benchmark repro.

BTW, I make cabinet stencils for the 5-foot 10 Strike/10 Pin for
anyone restoring one.

I would concur with that pricing.
One just finished on ebay in
"as is working" condition for
about $3300. I had one about a
year ago in the same "as is working"
condition and i think it sold for
$3200.

Collectors are always searching for parts. I have the orange/red, round bakelite control knobs with hardware and a few other parts for 1957 Williams Ten Strike (and its novelty counterpart, Ten Pins) in my parts bin, if anyone happens to need those. I also have an original Williams metal logo for the door of that game.

Steve Young (Pinball Resource - USA) can rebuild those timer motors and
we do the same here in Canada...
