Hello All,

Can anyone explain how to interpret the Gottlieb Color Codes on the
Schematics?

I don't understand why 3 numbers are on the codes for the two colors on
the wires.

Thanks,

-Rob

I don't have a manual here but sys 3 color codes are printed on the
schematic pages. Look around for it. A single number is shorter than
wht/org etc.

The color codes are there. I am just not sure how to interpret them?

I see three numbers (ex 233, or 433) and each number corresponds to a
color.

But, why three numbers? Why not just two?

THanks,

-Rob

Because there are actually three color tracers on the wiring. If you
were to spin the wire around 360 degrees you would see that there is an
extra trace of the same color. I believe that 233 translates to red /
orange / orange. Look closely at the wire, and you will see that there
is actually two orange tracers on it.

Wow...You folks are the best.

That is exactly what I needed to know, and could not figure out.

Back to wire tracing.

If you are asking about a specific game you might want to post the title so
as somone with a schematic for it can help you further with an exact answer.
Below is some generaized info that you may or may not find helpfull.

On the schematics, there should be a page that defines this. It varies from
EM to SS and maybe per system in SS.

Here is a generic way; (not your schematics) 0-2-3

If the table said 0 is Black, 2 red then something like thee above would
likely mean
Black wire(0) with a Red(2) tracer (stripe) used 3 times in the game (3).

Old EM games might just show it as BLK-RD-3 on the schematics.

You definitely want to consult the wiring color code table for your game to
know what the
number or abbreviations are.

At any rate the first number is normally the main wire color followed by the
color of the stripe; possibly followed by number of times used in the game
(different circuits).

The Used value may be blank (one time) (most schematics don't have a used
field that I"ve seen)
Also the stripe set to a value indicating no stripe.

Hope that helps!
Regards, Dallas...
