For the record, I have burned a pinball machine before due to a powder post beetle infestation in a "Barn Find" Gotlieb Roller Disco.

Disco Inferno!
Honestly, it about killed me to do it. It was my first pin after inheriting one when my dad downsized his house. I drove 4 hours one way in my rusted out pick up to get it. It was literally in a dilapidated wooden barn that had been turned into some kind of private arcade. There was a rotting pool table, several arcade machine with cabinets water damaged, and this Roller Disco missing the playfield glass and backglass. Mice had been on the playfield and in the cabinet. The owner had the backglass at his home, which was another 5 hours away. I did not notice at the time, but there were telltale holes and piles of powdery wood in the cabinet.
After researching here on RGP, and other places for what to do. I ended up stripping all the metal and plastic parts, then burning the wood. I could not risk my house to a pest that could destroy it, and with little kids, I did not want to treat with a toxic substance they might encounter. I eventually drove and got the backglass from the owner. I always thought I might encounter one again someday, and I was so sad I never got a chance to play it. It did teach me a valuable lesson in buyer beware.

I have the plastic topper cover for a Strange Science.
VDOJAQ,
I'd be interested in that if I get the machine.
I access RGP through google groups, but when I try send messages to people that option is grayed out, and it says I don't have permission to do that.
Thanks,

And may I also suggest Thunderbird as your email and Usenet reader? I've
been using TB for a while now, having started with Eudora back in the
90s and moving to TB when Eudora folded up.
