Far enough along on my BSD refurb and decided to power it up this
afternoon. Obviously it didn't go as planned or I wouldn't be here.
All lights work, sound seems good, machine takes credits, but it won't
start up a game. (yes, 4 balls installed!) I am getting a slam switch
closed message on the dmd. Is that the problem and how do I fix it?
Thanks.

just went down there again. Not exactly sure what to check for. If
I'm understanding you guys correctly, the slam tilt switch is the
little white button at the top of the inside of the coin door and when
I shut the door it depresses the button and closes the switch? It
seems fine to me. I can physically push it and I hear it clicking open
and closed inside. Am I in the right place? What else should I look
at?

Rich, no, that's not what we're talking about. There are two slam tilt
switches, and the one on the coin door will literally be *on* the coin
door. It'll be a big old leaf switch with a weight on the end of it,
probably pretty close to the door skin itself. Does that help?

Unplug your coin door wiring harness. If the slam tilt message is still
there, the problem is not with the coindoor

The slam switch is located on the inside of the coin door, and is
positioned so that any hard hit to the coin door will result in its
closure. This was designed to prevent people from getting free credits
by slamming their fist into the coin door.

Fixed! You guys rock...as usual. I must have smashed it down when I
took the door off to clean it and didn't realize it. Thank god for dmd
messages and rgp!
