Hi -
I'm in the process of restoring an Exhibit Supply / Dale Six Shooter
gun game.

The artwork is in pretty sad shape so I'm hoping to try and replace it
with original (not likely) or a new copy of artwork copied from
another machine.

If anyone has access to or information on a possible source for the
background artwork I'd like to hear from you.

I would be happy to pay for the cost of the artwork reproduction as
well as any costs for time associated with making a copy.

THANK-YOU in advance for any assistance.

If the old art is even semi intact you can make your own stencils for
painting (your game is so old I am assuming the art is stenciled on).
It is a lot of work tho and it won't be perfect.

Thanks for the suggestion, Dan.

With this game, the artwork actually sat on the floor of the machine,
and they used a mirror to reflect it up to where the player would look
into the viewing window.
So the artwork sat at the very bottom - getting filled with dirt,
grime and any liquid that leaked through if soda, water or other
"muck" went through. Sadly, it's in really sad shape (black and
falling apart).

I've seen some pictures of similar cowboy themes and western graphics
- may just make something up using those as an interim solution....

Would that be the one that was on eBay a couple weeks back? I don't
have the parts you are looking for but I was just curious who got it.
Looks like a fun restore project. I was thinking of bidding on it but
didn't.

Hi Tom -
Yes - I was the buyer of the machine here in So. Cal.
I grew up tinkering on old arcade and slot machines with my dad, and I
was looking for a fun project to take on with my 10 year old son for
the summer.
(We're finishing up an old Mutoscope digger now....so the gun game is
next).

Anyway - since it was local I figured it was worth a shot (pun
intended).

If you know of anyone locally that has one I'd appreciate any leads.
If you ever want to swing by (Monrovia - next to Pasadena) - let me
know.
We're light on pins (just a restored Indiana Jones) - but have some
other fun arcade machines, slots, and musical boxes....

John,
Did you get the images you were looking for? I too am in the process of restoring my Dale Gun. It has been in the family since the 1950's.

I have been restoring some of the art work with PhotoShop, you are welcome to anything I've created. I can email the images to you.

Do you have a good picture of the targets and what they are? I can make out the owl, rabbit, and the squirrel, but not sure of the fourth character.

I am restoring the 1950 Exhibit Supply Six Shooter Dale. I am nearing completion and a Parts List /Service Manual
would be a big help. My targets and Art work are original and in good condition I would be glad to provide copies of the artwork if someone needs it.

I make excellent copies of the original parts manual for $20USD
including postage to the USA..
